Western Alternative Corrections, Inc. (WAC) delivers community treatment services to justice-involved individuals transitioning from incarceration into the community through contracts with the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Prisons, as well as the United States Probation and Pretrial Services system. Through these partnerships, WAC provides comprehensive behavioral health services, including mental health care, substance use treatment, offense-specific programming, and psychiatric and medication-assisted treatment. These services are delivered across multiple states, with current community treatment service contracts in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.
In addition, WAC provides outpatient competency restoration services in central Nebraska through a contract with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Under this agreement, WAC delivers community-based case management, competency restoration counseling, and medication management to individuals undergoing competency evaluation and restoration, supporting their ability to participate effectively in legal proceedings.
